Playing MP3 through AC3Filter to my receiver
I was trying to play mp3 using my computer connect to the receiver through the digial (coaxial) connection. It was fine, but I can only get stereo.
I tried AC3Filter to encode it to 5.1 AC3 stream... it still plays, but it was playing at a slighly faster speed, and you can hear the pitch/tone is higher than normal. Anyone know why and how I can get this fixed?
Sound Card: Sound Blaster Audigy 2
Receiver: Yamaha HTR-5540

i believe you're trying to utilize all your speakers for a stereo MP3?
there's an easier way... look up your receivers manual and it should have a way to upconvert stereo into x.1 in realtime
no need to do all this in windows/software
