I wait for my cat. His litter box is right beside our toilet. When he shows up we do a synchronized poop, high five and then share a can of tuna.

Just want to comment on how you expect to get an exchange when you buy a clothes privately from someone on CL?
CL is private deal, once $ is handed to the seller. You are out of luck. (At this point, he didn't scam you.)
Also, transaction is always one hand cash, one hand merchandise. Do not hand over the product and expect to get it back after. Everything has to be completed on spot. If he can't give you the XL, wait until he has one before you return your M size back._______________

no offense but I wouldn't pay $1200 for a jacket...
let alone buy it from someone who I don't know..
sorry for your loss of money, jacket and sweater ... chances of getting it either of back looks very slim..you shouldn't have handed him the jacket and sweater.... and next time read the scammer forum before you buy anything that costly from some random *******.....
file a police report.. don't know if they will investigate... or you can contact the RFD's own PI Jac...he finds ppl like your scammer very quickly..
good luck and keep updating ...Last edited by SMNH; Dec 1st, 2011 at 12:43 PM.

All I have to work with is a disposable phone number that can't be traced without a warrant. I'm afraid you've been taken.
If you can afford $1200 for a jacket as a gift, I have a feeling you can afford to hire a PI to find this guy.Last edited by JAC; Dec 3rd, 2011 at 09:52 PM.

JAC - The only reason I paid that much is because the gift is for someone close to me in my family and I don't wanna post the whole story here cause it's kind of personal of why we got it for him but now that it's all gone, I was just wondering if you could get anything off the number. I guess he deleted my number so when I texted him today, I got a text back saying Who is this? and asked about the jackets and he said I dont know who you are, you must have the wrong number so I know he's trying to play it off. Just wondering if there's any way of getting any information off him. I'm only 19 and still in school so losing stuff close to about $1300 plus the $1200 cash I paid for the jacket isn't easy on me. If there's anything you can get at all, I'd appreciate it.

If you can't get the cops to take an interest, hire a PI or accept your loss. In the meantime, sign up his number on all the gay sex sites you can find. Put an ad in the paper for him as a donkey show. Be creative. Or start searching for that studio.

UPDATE:
I finally got a hold of someone at that number. He sold his iPhone with that number to someone off kijiji on Sunday at Bay/Queen downtown again with the plan free for a year for $1000. So I got his other cell number from the guy which is 416-301-4375 and apparently his name is Chris. He's a smart guy at this stuff. Hopefully I can track him down sooner or later. Will keep you guys updated if I get any more information.
Also, I tracked down the Kijiji e-mails we sent back and forth before I gave him my number to contact me through texting and the email is pokerbanker@hotmail.com and the name shows up as Chris DLast edited by jasbains.; Dec 4th, 2011 at 09:24 PM. Reason: Added E-Mail

The guy who bought the phone + plan off him has been getting harassed with calls about deals from Kijiji so I'm guessing the guy set up the phone to do multiple scams on Kijiji even though mine was a bit different and had my faults in it. He's planning on getting a new plan and sim because he called up Rogers and they said the information he provided didn't match with the account information so he was unable to change the #.

The old cell 647# I put up the first day is now sold to someone else so if anybody has that old number, please don't contact him or harass him as he is just another guy who bought the phone off him and has nothing to do with this whole situation. Thank You!
