please recommend some good lunch spots near yonge/sheppard

i just started a new job near yonge/sheppard intersection. i am new to and unfamiliar with the area. my coworkers usually eat in our building cafeteria (overpriced and bland food) or food court in the sheppard centre mall.

however, walking through the area i have seen a plethora of interesting looking non chain places. so if you know of any good places, please let me know!

i am not a picky eater and am definitely the adventerous type - any type of cuisine is fine - i enjoy vegetarian restaurants too, even though i'm not veggie. sit down or take out places are fine. i don't care how fancy or casual it is, i just want good food!

my only criteria is a reasonable walking distance from yonge/sheppard intersection, as i don't have a car. so no more than 7 min walk from the intersection.

please post the name of the place, location, type of cuisine, and some dishes you'd recommend/that you like there, and approximate price. thanks! if the place has a website that would be awesome too

I worked around North York Centre over the summer and wrote about a bunch of places in my food blog. http://myamazingfoodblog.blogspot.co...l/north%20york

Some of them are probably a little too far north to walk to if you only want to walk 7 minutes...but for ones closer to sheppard/yonge that I covered, I'd recommend Shawarma Max (chicken shawarma only) and the Ichiban on spring garden

There was a thread on North York Centre not too long ago. A few, but not all of the restaurants on the thread, are south of North York Centre, going towards Sheppard.
