Damn, I paid $5 last month for it! :) That's ok, it rocks and is easily worth $5! A steal at $2!

Do I need to make multiple purchase for each device or just 1 and it's good for phone/tablet/tv stick?

You purchase it for each gmail account, so if you use the same gmail for all those devices, then it's good for all of them.

There is no free version of the Plex client for Android or iOS (well, unless you go the pirated apk route...). Plex has put a lot of effort into improving their product and getting it onto a lot of platforms, and they are gradually beginning to dominate in this field through hard work and lots of community support. Most of their stuff is free. They deserve a little support. Blog: http://elan.plexapp.com/

Off topic but yes, there's a work around to getting Plex running on an ATV (doesn't have to be jailbroken).

You can find out about PlexConnect here. There is some work involved, but once it's setup it works beautifully.

Not 100% sure what this app does, but I bought it anyways.... I think I understand... The basic, non-subscription-based functionality is that it turns your home computer into an online media server so that you can watch your TV shows and movies that are on your computer (or NAS) on your Android device. Seems like a great app for when you're travelling and will be somewhere where you have WiFi.
