Plywood vs counter top? which is stronger
We need a 3/4 " thick to support a built in oven? Which type of material is stronger, plywood or counter top left over? It cannot be seen so look doesn't matter

Plywood will be much stronger.
Most counter tops are made of particleboard or MDF, covered by laminate.
