PNY 16GB Class 4 SDHC Memory Card

I have the [rfdlink=38]canon[/rfdlink] power shot s5is and am just wondering besides it holding a ton of pictures would this card benefit me a lot or make a difference in taking pictures? I currently have 2, 2gb sd cards and then the 32 mb card which came with the camera. With the 2 gb cards I never max them out.

At BB they have the PNY 16gb sdhc card for 79.99 reg. 199.99.

At future shop they have it for 144.99

If I were able to price match then it would be 58.50 plus tax.

Is this a good deal?
Does having an sdhc card improve your picture quality?

Thanks

Well you can take pictures at higher quality by configuring your camera settings, and the 16gb wont be easily maxed out like your 2gbs if pic quality were set at max.

I read somewhere that bb and fs dont pm each other anymore, or maybe im wrong.

no.. 80-((145-80)*0.1)=80-(65*0.1)=80-6.50=73.50+tax

no, just transfer speeds *IF* you have an SDHC reader.

from the manufacturer's site: the largest file sizes are 3,436KB, say 4MB and video is recorded at 2MB/sec

2GB card will let you take 250+ pictures or about 16 minutes of video.. i would say that's plenty with the 2x2GB cards you have so save your moolah!!! I have a 7.1Mpixel SD550 and a 2GB card has been enough over 2 years now and i take a lot of pictures at each outing.. unless you're going on a long trip and won't have time/place to offload your pictures then you might want to consider the 16GB card but others will tell you to just get a photobank for a bit more..

I bought the Patriot Class 6 16GB SDHC card from Canada Computers and It worked flawlessly with my Mark III 1Ds shooting at both RAW + JPEG in the highest quality setting. It only cost $90 ish after tax and they have a $20 Mail in rebate for the card.

Patriot makes flash memories/RAM so they are very reputable. IMO futureshop/BB/photo stores sell way overpriced memory cards.
