I don't think that is a political ad.

Even if it were legit, I wonder how much control RFD has over what gets shown in the ad feed?
It's probably contracted out to a third party, and they don't have any say over what's shown except for very general things like it has to be applicable to Canadian residents (and even then I think I've clicked on a few in the past where it turned out the offer was only valid for U.S. residents ....) I created this post tongue-in-cheek, hence the razz smilie. I just wanted to show all you ad-blocking folks the pretty ads you're missing out on.

I am not entirely sure how the ads work here, I always see American Express ones, and I have never searched for Credit Card suggestions online. It's probably just a pool of ads by the advertiser.
