when they say halal, the chickens are killed in an ethical way not like KFC.
And they like the chicken hand after so they drain their entrie blood i think.

Nov 29th, 2004 07:41 PM #39Hows halal more ethical? Slitting an animals throat and letting it die slowly by bleeding to death is painful.

Hard to tell because the KFC@York is also a Taco Bell (same corporate owners-Yum! Brands, Inc http://www.yum.com/). They have only 1 line.

If you guys think its too greasy.. Try the chicken strips.. Best thing invented since sliced bread. They arent greasy at all.. plus you cant see the organs.. They are AMAZING, especially with the hotsauce
ughh I'm hungry now

Anyone else noticed that the Cajun Rice in Canada tastes different to the one in US? I prefer the US version with finer ground beef.
It's almost like the cajun/dirty rice I make with pulverized chicken livers instead of ground beef. This is the only dish I make which tastes as good if not better than one in store.

I m still savoring over the popeyes lunch I had. The chicken tasted good (unlike KFC which tastes like re-fried chicken), dipping a little Louisiana hotsauce to give it some kick but not too much so the sour taste wont overtake the spiciness of the chicken. The breadcrumbs were a bit over done, and they didn’t remove the browned chicken organs from the meat, but I didn’t mind that.
The mash potato was hot with steam and creamy, a little too much sauce, but still very good. the biscuit was great too, warm, crumbly and just the right amount of butter on the top. Excellent. On the expensive side, almost 7$ for only 2 pieces, sides, biscuit and the drink.
is there a tuesday special ???
