anybody else getting charged $2.99 + tax for this when menu board price is $2.49 for large drink? get your pitchforks ready?

FYI, that location charges a "convenience fee" which was not authorized by RBI, which owns Popeyes, therefore, you don't see actual price charged as per the menu. Avoid this location like the plague.

The tenders are actually pretty big and taste good but if the Raptors hot streak goes on much longer they are going to bankrupt Popeyes :p

They'll just adjust the requirements to make it harder, but for that they will have to come up with a new banner, and swap out physical ads if any. Don't know if they will do it mid-season. On the other hand, I wouldn't be too hasty in assuming that this is making them any poorer. for starters, not that many people know about this ad and the ones who do will get hooked on the tenders making it more likely they will pay full price in the future. Also, there's a reason why it's always tenders that get discounted and that is because mechanically separated meat is significantly cheaper than actual parts of a chicken.

Actually Popeyes use real chicken breast strips for their tenders and then bread them in stores before frying.

And this is why it’s such a hot deal!! Real chicken!!!

They have a game tonight as well so it could be back2back tenders for lunch. RFD old man tip, grab a medium cup instead or fill the whole large cup with ice prior to filling to keep the sugar content low
