I'd rather purchase a biscuit or two or some fried chicken pieces instead of a drink. Is that possible?
you can try, but 95% chance if a manager gets involved they will say no. Soda is almost 90% profit for stores, that's where they make most of their money. Biscuits are nowhere near as profitable for them.

There is NO way Raptors will hit 12 three pointers against the Cavs, Warriors or Spurs. The games they have coming up. This Raptors team is awful and you can count on them maybe achieving the feat against scrubs. This Raptors team is infamous for beating up Eastern scrub teams the past few years.

OKC is a contender. They've been playing well since Melo decided to swallow his pride and realize he's a third option at best on that team. Their record doesn't yet reflect the turnaround, but they were 12-5 in December, and so far in January have further improved their FG% and 3-Pt FG% as a team.

Also, never count the Spurs out. Minnesota is surprising too - Jimmy "Buckets" has shown he is more than capable of easily taking over a game and carrying the team to victory.

But nevermind all that. Happy Friday! Happy Chicken Tenders day!

Large drink probably cost them pennies. If you get a refill, then it's 2 x pennies. Face With Tears Of Joy

Fountain drinks are basically 2000% profit margin. The cup probably costs more than the drink they put in it.

You pay $2.80 for a 14 cent drink, and they give you "free" chicken strips that probably cost ~$1. They are still making money off this deal even if you don't buy anything else. Probably a lot of people coming to a Popeyes store for this deal will end up buying something else too like fries or biscuits, increasing the profit even more. It's a good promotion for the franchisees.

Fair points, but add in labour costs, franchise fees, utilities, and I'd bet they don't break even on this promo...

That's not how you do it...for the most part, those are fixed costs.

Fast food businesses understand that different products have different margins. Lot of them are very very happy when you buy a drink because there's a lot of profit on fountain drinks. it's no different than restaurants, they're happy if you buy a cocktail, not so happy when you order tap water.

Franchises were not happy when everyone comes in and gets free tenders and orders nothing but they less unhappy with someone who has to pay $2.80 for a large drink/tenders as they might also bring in a few friends and someone else orders fries or something else.
We're all bozos on the bus until we find a way to express ourselves...

Failure is always an option...just not the preferred one!

Get your own NBA team ;)

UPDATE - no problem at Yonge/Dundas. Tenders are big and tasty

Q - how much is a large drink? $2.50?

A - $2.65 at Yonge/Dundas + tax = $2.80 . BTW their large is actually very large.
