Never again.
After going through 4 Different 5-6lb tubs of Allmax ISOFleX at 2 different popeyes stores tasting horrible and not mixing well I am never shopping there again.
First I bought my first 6lb tub at the NE location. Went home, put in the mixer and the powder turned into a sticky ball and didnt mix at all with the liquid.
Went back and exchanged for a different tub. Same problem, went to the store 3rd time, opened a tub and tried it in store, same thing, horrible tasting, not mixing,
but this time the sales guy was trying to convince me it was normal (I knew he was lying becayse I've bought IsoFlex from GNC many times before and It always tasted
very good and mixed very well). So I exchanged for a totally different product, Allmax QuickMass Loaded. First time having this product, didnt mix well but tasted ok.
The other day I buy the QuickMass Loaded from GNC and tasted like a totally different product, mixed perfectly, smooth, delicious.
Something must be wrong with Popeyes Proteins, i tried from 2 different stores, 3 different batches, same issue.
The other day I decided to try a different flavor at popeyes to see... Walk in, look for the 6lb tubs, see a sign saying 6lb allmax $99 with all tubs stacked under. Grab the chocolate mint, pay for it.
Go to the parking lot, and realize they stacked 5lb chocolate mint with all other 6lb tubs under the $99 sign. Walk back in to the store, literally 30 seconds after paying for it, asking for a refund since they
had the wrong product under the $99 sign and the guy said they don't do refunds, said ive already paid for it and thats too bad. Also didnt care I wasn't coming back.
I get home, open my 4th and last tub of Isoflex from popeyes, this time a different flavor and same thing. Horrible taste, not mixing, garbage.
Same day I went to GNC got the chocolate mint flavor IsoFlex and there it was, smooth, delicious just like its supposed to be.
Don't try to save $5 and drink stuff that tastes like expired cake mix. Popeye's got something wrong with all their allmax (possibly other products), they know about it, but still sell it to customers.
Beware!
ps.: These are my experiences from Allmax Products @ popeyes. Cannot comment on other brands/products.

Thanks for the info. Usually I buy my protein or supplements in the US as I live close to the border and they are way cheaper down there but if I do buy something from Canada I usually go to Reflex. I don't like GNC since they charge (or at least used to?) for their member card and Reflex doesn't. The prices seem competitive too.

You complained about the taste of the powders more than the customer service aspect.
Great. Stick with CellTech then.
btw, AllMax was great 2 years ago. I bought their Chocolate flavor and it was addictive.

Don't be so quick to fault the retailer buddy. Did you ever check to see if the products you bought had lot numbers and if they did compared them to one another? Maybe the ones you didn't like were just made that way by the manufacturer... Popeyes or any retailer has no controll over how a supplement gets made. If you had so many problems, maybe thats an indication that you should switch to another brand with better quality control if what you say is true. It's also your fault for getting the 5 LB tub of choc mint when you should have paid attention to what you were buying. I'm not sure why you didn't exchange it.
I've had this kind of problem where I would buy a protein powder at one store and it would taste great and then when I go to buy it again at another store like GNC it doesn't taste as good... I don't complain about it though because I am not really drinking the stuff for enjoyment.
I'm pretty sure though your just trying to bash Popeyes anyways, considering how many posts you have. Maybe you're a competitor?
Just my opinion.

I've never bought ALLMAX but I've dealt with Popeye's (in Toronto) lots of times and only had positive experiences on their service.
If you still have the product, you should follow up with ALLMAX - the product will have a LOT number on the packaging, as sandy_beach suggested.
They can tell you if there have been any recalls on the product(s) you bought.
It's possible neither ALLMAX nor Popeye's knew anything was wrong with the product - until enough people complain.

6lb tubs are made exclusively for Popeye's/SND so it's entirely possible that they made a bad batch that only ended up at Popeye's.
Like others said you came here to ***** with no credibility._______________

If it's not a manufacturer's quality control problem, then there may be a remote possibility that the bad products are counterfeit.

Dont shop there. Their 5lbs whey Iso is like 80$ and you can get it for 40$ online.
Once i bought the Ultimate Nutrition Whey sensation (berry).
Never tasted something like this. It was so bad that i threw up a couple of times while trying to force me to drink it.Last edited by Coz4k; Jan 31st, 2012 at 11:37 AM.

As much as I don't like popeyes, but if the product is bad its not really the retailers fault, but more Allmax.
I cannot believe that they didn't take it back at popeyes or replace it for you when they made a mistake giving you a 5lb instead of 6lb.
I don't shop with them because they are expensive just like gnc and you can definitely find better prices online.
Not sure i can post a website here but check out www.redtagnutrition.com they might delete my post, if you don't see the website just PM me
