I think you will be okay as long as it doesn't have any particularly sharp edges and is not filled with liquid or something.
Give AC a call to confirm.

Porcelain \ glass allowed in carry on?
Hi,
I checked Air Canada's website and found nothing to say other but who knows these days with all the paranoia.
I am in Montreal on business and want to buy some porcelain figured (maneki neko, yay!!) . Am I allowed to pack these in my carry on baggage to stow under the seat during the flight? I know they would break in checked baggage but under the seat they should be safe (unless the plane turns upside down for some reason
)
Thank you_______________

You can pack most things...as long as you are not over your bag limit. 1 carry on per passenger I believe is the new ruling.
