I got my remote a few weeks ago. I like hte quick access buttons for Amazon Prime and Netflix.

I'm actually surprised the hardware of the TV was able to support an upgrade to support apps. It's like they planned for this possibly occurring for all 2016 models. Kudos to Vizio on this.

Does anyone know if this offer is still available? I tried the link but it says for Canadian customers to call a toll free number which seems to be out of service. Thanks.

They were able to do it for me today via chat (who told me it would be 7.99, then got a callback to place the order, and the CSR was able to place the order for free). Not sure why the Canadian website directs to a dead support number, I even asked the support folks and they had no idea what I was talking about.

I tried a webchat and was told I would have to pay $7.. Found this Number - 877-878-4946.. A couple minutes on the phone and free remote is ordered. 2 - 8 weeks delv.

I tried calling the number this morning on my cellphone and it seems to work. Left my details and was told International sales person would call me back within 48 hours. Stay tuned.

They did call me and I also sent an email. It is on back order for up to 8 weeks. They said they would mail it. If they ask if you got a message on your tv about the remote then say 'yes' or they may either not send it or try to charge you for it.
