Is it possible to get new garage door opener and open preexisting garage door opener?
Can I do that, and where could I pick up a garage door opener?

Are you asking whether or not you can replace an existing garage door opener with a new one?
Regarding garage door openers, I would recommend Sears Craftsman (made by Chamberlain). They go on sale all the time.

Or are you asking if your new remote will operate the existing garage door opener since you have more then one garage door opener?
If so then check the frequency of the existing against the new, it doesn't really matter the brand since as astroboi has stated some manufactures sell through other dealers names.

I agree regarding the frequency issue, since garage door openers can operate in different frequency ranges. If you have a good opener, I would suggest sticking with the same manufacturer. Also, keep in mind that some basic opener packages may only come with a single button remote that opens only one door.
In the situation that your existing opener operates on an obsolete frequency, you can always buy a universal remote.

The thing in your hand is not a garage door opener, but a remote for a garage door opener.. Hense the confusion in your question.
Yes you can purchase new remotes to use with existing openers.
However, it will depend on the make/model of opener you have and then matching it with the appropriate remote.
If you have a Chamberlain/Craftsman opener, take note of the button on the back of the opener itself (again, the thing hanging from the ceiling in the garage that actually does the lifting). It will be purple or red or green. This is the simple way of telling which Chamberlain/Craftsman remotes will work with that opener.

Home depot sells "universal" remotes. Look at the back of the package and it will show you what is compatible with it.
