Possible to Negoatiate Price at Best Buy?
I'm interested in getting a 32" HDTV from BB (as I have a gift card). They have their 32" Dynex Brand listed at $429.99, but it was listed at $399.99 2 weeks ago. Can I walk in, and try to strike a deal by saying I'll buy the item if they lower it back to the 399.99 price?

Thanks

You can negotiate anywhere. It just seems to be a social taboo in North America for many people, but it is a perfectly legitimate thing to do.
All they can do is say 'no'._______________

It also helps if you have something to offer in exchange. For instance after a salesperson has spent some time with you (especially if they're on commission but I realize not at BB) you could say something like, "Well thanks for your help. I'd like to do some more price comparisons but, you know, if we can come up with a really good deal now you can save me the trouble and we can close the deal right now."
Oh, and always be polite. Even if the salesperson says no, they can't come down any more._______________

Cool thanks for the suggestions, I'll give it a shot sometime. I knew FS had better negoatiation opportunity since they're on commission, if only it was a FS GC

i was never able to negotiate a price at best buy but able to at future shop.
the only time best buy is willing to negotiate a price if you buy best buy's extended warranty and in the end, the price comes up more than what you expect to pay_______________
