Possibly looking for a new car

Looking for options here

Familly of 3 right now, that will probably expend soon, so will be 4 (hoping not more haha) looking for a new car

Current setup

GF has a Kia Rio 2016 Sedan about 13k left on lease should en in 2023
I have a Kia Forte 2017 Sedan about 14k left on lease should end in 2024

Our goal would probably get rid of the Rio 2016 here is what we are looking

-Must have space for 4 maybe 5 people and have space for trip too (like familly vacations)
-Must be able to install a hitch so i can get a Trailer in the future or a tent trailer (aka around 2000 pounds ish)
-Must have Carplay
-Can be used or New
-Under 30k if possible since we probably will probably not be able to sell my GF car for 15k

I know it's alot but we are sadly not well fortuned so we are trying the best we can

IMPORTANT EDIT : I'm sorry for the confusion but we are Financing the 2 cars at 0% it's not a rental lease

Kia Sportage is good for up to 2000lbs towing capacity.

Ford Escape with the 2L Ecoboost engine + towing package is good for 3500lbs towing capacity.

~2018 Volvo V60.

Some serious value in these from 2015-2018. Depreciated like a rock for the first 2 years.

Van is a great starter fam where you need to lug around strollers, endless bags. Later, switch out to a suv/cuv

You have 7 year leases for Kias??? I thought the sweet spot for even reliable cars is 4 years.

3 yrs would be a sweet spot in most situations.

Factory warranty intact
4th yr major maintenance can be avoided
Near Border line wear on tires and brakes just before replacements are needed.
If leased vehicle has been a headache with issues, now it’s the time to say goodbye.

Con is more $ for the next lease perhaps, if there are no deals on the vehicle you like

Wait are these finances or leases? 7 years is awfully long for a lease. What's the residual value? 500$?

If these are financed and you are buying them at the end of the term, no you will not get anything for them at the end of them. These will be 7 year old compact Kia's, they will have no residual value.

Not to pile on and I know not everyone is well off but jeebus.

I hope you did the maths at least on the 7 year lease and didn't just look at the monthly number.

Run some numbers before you commit to anything.

Do tell us all, where I can find either one of those Kia models right now for next to nothing. The ones I see are all listed for 5 to 6 grand even with the ticking time bomb engines in them... Most of them at market pricing dealers if they have service records. LOL

So seriously where are they listed for less?

I'm sorry I need to explain to you how trading in a car works?

Or you can show me where I said you can buy one of these cars for nothing?

If the OP is going to trade in one of their 7-year-old Kia'son a brand new vehicle what exactly do you think the trade-in value is going to be?

Yeah we all know dealers low ball trade ins... However logically if they are worth NOTHING at a dealer as you insist. Then a lot of them should be for sale privately for a lot less than are now, and you didn't disprove that with any leads LOL.
