Ah, cause I would stay home often with a beast of a lens like that lol.

Great Pictures!

Do you have a feeder setup at home?
I'm looking to capture hummingbirds this spring/summer in my yard.

Thanks! Yes, it is a beast. I shoot 99% of the time handheld and it causes problems with my wrists which have a touch of carpel tunnel issues. Body + lens is about 2570gm (5.6lbs).

I do have a feeder at home but I never take pictures there because the birds are too shy and the light is not good at the feeder. They over winter in the Vancouver area so I have the feeder out all year round. I've often thought about buying a blind and shooting in the back yard but the reality is that I much more enjoy going for a walk at a local park where they have feeders set up as well as lots of plants the birds feed from and there the birds seem used to having people around.
