Er.. Jepsen has been a signed artist since 2007 and has had stuff on the charts since 2008 (how come no one seems to remember "Bucket" anymore? That was popular....). Just because Call Me Maybe blew up in the US and she signed with Interscope does not mean she is somehow now "HIS artist" - he had literally nothing to do with her success - they're just friends. She signed with Interscope AFTER Call me Maybe blew up.

In the public eye, she's known as a Bieber creation so ... like in this video, he's pushing her and because HIS name is on it, this video got 42 million views ...

Lets be honest, "Bucket" didn't really have any impact. I youtubed that song right now and I have never heard it before in my life. There is probably a reason that she didn't get to make another album for 4 years.

Call Me Maybe was released last September to a decent amount of success in Canada, but nothing anywhere near the explosion of success internationally since she signed with Schoolboy Records in February. It just reached number one on Billboard earlier this month. The kind of success that this song has had doesn't happen spontaneously. Signing with Schoolboy(which is associated with Bieber) most definitely had a huge hand in that. Notice how all of the videos posted in this thread were created after Bieber and friends made that video of them dancing around to the song?
