Anxiously waiting on the reviews and pricing of Samyangs 24mm f/3.5 tilt shift. I had their 85mm 1.4 and it's as good as the reviews so I have faith in their ability to produce a quality lens. Tilt Shifts from Canon/Nikon are in the 2000+ range new or used, if Samyangs comes in at the reported 1k I'm down.

After Refreshing my 70-200L F2.8L IS to a II model, i'm keeping the good ol 24-70 for now, and probably going to go easy, next lens is one of these more than likely.. I want to use it as a walk around, and I think the 40mm will work when the 50 is too much length and when I want something small (I can throw this on the rebel and have a quite small and compact DSLR for lightweight travel and general purpose!)

Currently torn between the Nikon 85 1.4G, 105 DC and 135 DC

Anybody have suggestions on what to do? (assuming I can only buy one of the above)

I'm in the exact same boat, but considering 105 marco as well, as I don't have a real close up lens yet. Among those 3, I'm leaning towards the 135 more.

Hard to go wrong with all of them. 85mm 1.4 is an amazing lens, but I would go for 135mm f2 DC. 85mm is too close to 24-70mm and if you're using it for portraits, better to go buttery bokeh with 105 or 135. I recommend 135 over 105 since you can make the 105mm 2.8 macro as your "next lens to buy" after the 135 - so you'll now have macro application, lol.
