Good price on an awesome camera. This is a must-have for anyone with kids.
Tip for those buying one of these: turn off face detection when shooting movies in low light to prevent the AF from hunting excessively.

anyone know if any places like BB, FS or any other stores PM dell.com?
i ask because i have a friend who's leaving to europe until august in a week and he needs something like this, but won't risk waiting for shipping.Last edited by merciscool; Apr 20th, 2009 at 01:55 PM.

Pretty good price - I doubt, though, that this can be PM'd - it's essentially a discontinued item & AFAIK BB & FS no longer carry it.
If there are still abunch of these in the pipeline, maybe there'll be even better deals.
The JPEG encoding is a big dealbreaker for many (google it for the reviews). I've been tempted to get one due to its size, but can't justify it vs. my HF100. if it was AVCHD, I'd likely grab one as a pocket cam for touring .

the links above are .COM, US site.
.CA link is below
http://accessories.dell.com/sna/prod...1&sku=A1595951
FYI:
If its .COM (US site) BB/FS may give you hard time for PMing it, or they would simply say, we do not PM, since its a US site._______________

McBain camera has some, according to their website - whether they will PM or not, is questionable.

Since you're in Sask, maybe shipping time won't be a problem.

Last Dec. I got one from Costco at $229 when they cleared it out. Yeah, it's pretty hard to find one now, so grab one when you can -- it's a very good all around point-and-shot camera. The only complaint I have so far is its battery runs out juice pretty quick, and you can't use those handy AA batteries on it.
