Pre-Marinated Meat (Asian Flavors) for BBQ
Other than Meat Express in Scarborough, are there any other places that specializes pre-marinated BBQ meats for consumer purchases?

It's not like you're getting 10lbs of meat either. A good amount of that is marinade. If it's kabli you're looking for, it's best to do it yourself. It's actually not hard and you can buy store bought marinade... won't be as good as my recipe, but will be just as good a what's sold at Galleria/PAT/Hmart.

Anywhere really. You just need to look for a good marble pattern with no big fat pockets. But before marinading, soak the meat in a bath of water for a few minutes. Then pat dry. The goal is to get all the bone particles out and also drain out any blood. Let it sit for 30 minutes, so that the water is also out of the meat. Less blood/water = more marinade. Mix meat into marinade and then layer the meat into a separate container adding a little marinade between layers. Layering will make cooking much easier as it will be easy to transfer the meat from the container to grill. Also it evenly distributes the marinade. Then put in the fridge for at least 4 hours.... longer the better, but too much is bad. If this is for the next day, it's fine. But anymore, then put in the freezer and let it thaw in the fridge on the day of when you plan to eat it. Cook on a grill. Avoid using stove top or electric grill as both do not get hot enough.

For people who don’t cook... those bottles of all in one marinade work fine. Rub it all over your juicy meat and leave it covered over night.AV-Fishing wrote: ↑ Just buy wings and drumsticks at an Asian Supermarket and then marinade it yourself!
It's a simple task and if you know how to cook, you have your own marinade recipe anyway.
