Prepaid SIM card question (different carriers)

Okay so I'm thinking of buying a prepaid Samsung Galaxy Ace at Walmart that comes with a Koodo sim. Can I take the sim from my old prepaid Telus flip phone and use it instead of the Koodo one?

Thanks in advance

Yes. Koodo uses Telus network. Unless Galaxy Ace is sim locked, all should work fine, if not just return it or unlock it for free.

Koodo phones accept Telus sim cards without unlocking. You only need to unlock if you are using Rogers or Bell, or anything one else.

False.... I have tried a few Koodo locked phones with Telus sim and they did not work until they were unlocked

Weird, my Koodo LG Optimus One took my Telus sim card ...

OP, try it anyways, if it shows locked, then you'll need to get it unlocked

Check to see if the phone is locked or not. It's simple ... just put in a SIM from another carrier and see if it powers up! Or check the frequencies of the phone and see if it works with the frequencies of the provider ...
