Okay so I'm thinking of buying a prepaid Samsung Galaxy Ace at Walmart that comes with a Koodo sim. Can I take the sim from my old prepaid Telus flip phone and use it instead of the Koodo one?

Yes. Koodo uses Telus network. Unless Galaxy Ace is sim locked, all should work fine, if not just return it or unlock it for free.

Koodo phones accept Telus sim cards without unlocking. You only need to unlock if you are using Rogers or Bell, or anything one else.

Weird, my Koodo LG Optimus One took my Telus sim card ...
