Yeah I feel ya brother, I ordered of zennioptical and whatever for close to the same price (20 vs 38) lol and found them ok, but these were much better from clearlycontacts because they are REAL designed frame glasses, I ordered two pair of Armani glasses last spring for 90 bucks for two pairs shipped and a box of o2 optix contacts. CRAZY DEAL! They measure to the half PD measurement so they tend to be more accurate too.
I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for glasses and contacts. They actually gave me the 38 dollar price on the armani frames even after the price shot up to 80 and then 160 in the time it took me to decide if I wanted them or not. Customer service was awesome! Up there on the list of my greatest purchases/deals ever!![]()

Too risky. I could barely find glasses that fit my face in a "normal" store.
My head is big. lol
How do I know that the frames will fit my face first and I will like them on - second.
I ordered a pair of frames from googles4u. They provide the Front Length and I am happy with them.

I didn't get a PD from my MD.. so would they normally check for you if you went and asked for a measurement? without charging you again... haha

The company is 100% legit. Never bought any glasses from them (I have trouble finding the right look just glancing at the shelf), but I've ordered contacts twice and always had superb service.
Look at the style of the frames. Yes, they're designer, but they're styles that were in two or three years ago. Sure, they're not "out" now and you're going to look great if you pick the right pair, but these are almost certainly old stock frames they picked up on the cheap.

I know they're legit, but I'm still skeptical.
I don't know how they do it... I've worked in an optical store and the cost for the Armani, Gucci etc. frames alone are much higher than $38 (it's the same for all optical stores). The manufacturer for those frames have no reason to sell to clearlycontacts for dirt cheap no matter what volume, considering they also own Lenscrafters.

I have the same problem. I just did a few minutes of googling and I found this website: http://www.eyeglasses.com/learn_html...e_glasses.html
It provides instructions on how to calculate total frame size from images involving some simple math...although it looks a bit more complex than necessary.
Simple ratio math should do to give you a very rough estimate:
A: Image total frame width
B: Image lens diameter (or bridge width)
C: Estimated total frame width
D: Actual lens diameter (or bridge width)
A/B=C/D
The problem is to determine how to accurately measure it on the screen and the difference with how it is actually measured.Last edited by c001m4n; Nov 2nd, 2008 at 12:33 PM.

fake? if you don't think this is a reputable company, think again.
our university's health and dental plan(from sun life assurance) is linked to this company for vision needs(hence the STUDENTCARE coupon code). If you google the model number of some of the frames, you get other sites with the exact same frames selling for $160-$200.. this is obviously a wicked sale, as its sister company coastalcontacts is still selling the frames for 3-4x the price..
compare these two links:

https://www.clearlycontacts.ca/glass...prod21425.html

In my case Image total frame width should be 140mm or close to.
PD can be measured by anybody using a simple ruler.
PD is constant so if you have old prescription it should be there.
I can not figure out how $38 + $9.95 = $49.85
