Pricing for a New Demo Car (2014 Mazda 3 Sport GS)?

What should I be expecting for the price of a demo car with 12,000km on it?

MSRP is $23845
Invoice is $21701

They've offered me $20345

I won't give a number but save yourself the confusion. The word "new" shouldn't be anywhere in a post regarding a car with 12 000 km. It a used car...it has Benn used by someone/s for 12000 km. The tires wear out at the same rate regardless of if they are demo kms or used car kms.

Decide what a fair price is for a used 2014 with 12000 km add on required government taxes and offer that.

19.5k and no freight/pdi seems like a fair deal

Invoice - 0.15 to 0.25 per click. Generally I found Mazda dealer demos to be insanely priced since they only receive a small credit once it hits 12k.

12K is not really a demo. It's a used car. I would offer $18K and no more.

Problem is... if you don't take it, someone else will.

Hey there, I was in the same shoes as you two weeks ago but in all the dealer would not budge much from the price other then dicounting PDI; in the end I got a car almost at invoice price+ $200 added for bogus security chip; overall you will save at maximum maybe $1000 overall after tax; but considering the car has been running for 12,000 KM already and possibly abused for those Kms I am much more comfortable for $1000 extra.

Yes I'm well aware 12k is not really a demo, it's still a demo in title as I still have to pay freight and other mandatory fees. It has had no registered owner therefore it's a demo.

I offered 17k, waiting to hear back.

^ don't tell us you are still going to pay this bogus freight/pdi. You are going to be laughed at in this forum.

how else would you avoid it? you can tell them to waive it but you're not going to get invoice plus 2% along with that, it will just get built in elsewhere

Sometimes we, the buyers are too anxious to get the car and failed to recognize what is fair and what it's not. If you are in no hurry, then shop for the right deal.

There got to be other cars out there that you can look for ... paying for a fair price without being ripped off. In any case, just my 2 cents.

I definitely am, the offer is built into the price, I received an offer for a new one for 25.8, just waiting a couple days to see what the October incentives will be and if the car will still be around by then

no matter the situation you're going to pay some sort of freight on a car that hasn't had a previous owner, whether you negotiate it down or whatever the number is getting absorbed somewhere else via incentive or markup, it's not a fight you can win, all you can do is walk away

you still sound like you want this car badly, regardless. In this case, just do you best and negotiate.

stock is low and the 2015 don't offer any great features so it's a short window to get the car i want, i've done my research, it's the best fit for my needs
