Good price for Canada.

Just an idea: Totoya honors it's warranty cross border. You could save probably $4000+ buying one in the US. If you have your act together importing one takes just a few hours.

Problem is that the Prius is subject to a 6.1% import duty if you bring it up from the US as it is made in Japan. That will eat right into your savings right then and there.

Toyota+Lexus have been doing cash incentives on their hybrids off and on since early summer.

For Ontario, it was 3 or 4 thousand bucks off + a government $2000 PST rebate which expired on July 1. I think Lexus has taken upon that rebate themselves and reduced prices by an extra $2000...not sure about Toyota.

What I mean is - $3000 off is pretty standard and you should expect more like $5-6000 off if paid by cash.

TCH is the only hybrid not getting a lot of discount.

Also, hybrids is one category you can still shop in Canada. When all said and done, the price differential between US and Canada is not that big. There is some demand on hybrids in the US, plus there are incentives issued by individual States which you may not get.

Toyota won't sell new cars to Canadians in the USA.

Hope the report can be of use to you. I got the 2010 Camry Hybrid CCC if you want it too. I know buying in the US is very hard but damn I did a rough look and a 2011 Camry Hybrid is just 22k USD :-0 'sigh' damn super inflated CDN prices!!!!! Since Camry Hybrids are made in the US it's just 22kUSD converted to CAD then + HST and $200 RIV import fee. 'sigh' If only it was not such a huge huge problem to import from the US then it won't be such a b!tch to buy in the US!!!!!!!!
