what's the difference between memory stick pro and duo or jus nothing?

they look the same.
so does that mean something that supports duo, only supports duo?
how come there are those that are dual select or whatever they call it.
and some that are only memory stick.
can i buy a memorty stick pro or just memory stick if the thing says memory stick duo?

Well, duo, is actually a smaller stick..like half the size length wise..but it comes with an adapter, to make it like a reg memory stick..pro is better then reg..speed an price lol.
Well, if it supports only duo, then yea, less u can shove double the stick in the slot lol.

mine says it needs magicgate memory stick duo
so is that the only thing i can use?

i understand the diff between duo and pro now, i feel so dumb for not seeing they are different sizes.
but what the heck does magicgate mean now?

Magicgate is used for copy protection.
Such as in MP3 players (with ATRAC3) and some camcorders.
