Problem Launching Quicktime/Itunes due to unwritable/unreadable directory HELP
Problem..
Both Itunes and Quicktime refuse to launch. When I launch them It starts the installation of the program as opposed to launching the program. The Installatioin eventaully tells me that there was an error writing to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Apple Computer
When I use windows explorer and try to manually delete the directory the system hangs as soon as I click on the folder.
When I try to uninstall I tunes or Quicktime I get an error message related to this unwritable directory.
Pls help

Do you have access rights to do those things to the directory?

but have you checked the rights to that folder?
Have you tried removing it in safe mode?

for some reason, I can't get into safemode. I get a BSOD.
I have also tried removing the directory using cmd prompt. That doesn't work either.
Could it be some type of hard drive corruption?

Possible.
You could try using a WinPE type disk to see if you can delete that directory.
Are there other directories inside it? It could be those directories causing trouble.
