Is Procter & Gamble a good company to work for in terms or pay, career advancement...
After writing their 50 quetion skill testing exam and an interview, I am invited to their Canadian HQ for the final comprehensive interview for an internship position with the Information, Decision and Solutions department as an analyst.
It is going to be an interesting day where the first 2 hours will be spent with my host, where it is a free Q&A session and touring the office and meeting other potential co-workers follwed by a 1 hour interview (2 different people), concluding with a lunch with my host.
I am wondering if P&G is a good company to work for in terms of career advancement and pay.
Anyone of u gguys here work for them?

P&G is a pretty big company in the products and goods industry. I heard they had awesome internships/job placements in Marketing. If you do get in, ring me up my friend
I'm looking for a placement in Marketing myself with P&G

My father in law has been with P&G for about 30 years, and it has definitely been an amazing place for him to work. He started as a PhD in a chem lab, and is now a Director...sort of a product line troubleshooter they ship around the world to help particular lines in particular markets (feminine hygiene in Eurasia, household cleansers in Latin America, etc.) Along the line he's put his name on over 20 patents, and even had a brand of toothpaste named after him (off the market now). He's got a lot of great war stories...testing fat free fries with McDonalds, creating Asia-specific products, etc.
They have moved him and his family over a dozen times (almost always from Cinci to location to Cinci to location etc) and take incredible care of their employees. I am terminally impressed by their treatment. They have made a bunch of "Top 100" employer lists, and are obviously here to stay.
I would recommend them for someone who wants to stay the course with a single company - it seems there is a lot of horizontal movement as well as upward mobility possible within the company, and the benefits and family-friendliness is great to see.
My wife did a year with them in Marketing as well, and quite enjoyed the experience. Looks good on a resume as well.
