[Prodip.ca] Plasti-dip Cans @ $12.5 each. Possible to PM at Lowes @ $9.96

Deal Link:
Posted a thread in the automotive section asking if anyone was able to price match with online retailers or small shops. Nobody really had a concrete answer so I went to my local Lowes and gave it a shot.

They successfully price matched it, no questions asked, just asked for the URL, and they had to print a physical copy of the page. And I was out of the store with two cans of black for $22.5 all in / $9.96 for each can.

Highly YMMV but worth a shot as it worked for me, try showing the receipt posted here if you face issues and they may match it.

Take that link on your phone or print it out, go to Lowes, ask them to price match it and might beat the price as well. May or may not work hence the YMMV in the title

could you please add this info to the main post? I see $12.50 as well, this is confusing to some as you did not specify whether YMMV was for the price match and/or price "beat".

If you get this at sub $10 then definitely a pretty good deal given the current exchange rates CAD to USD. it's regular price for ~$6USD at big box stores in the states.

Maybe just add the actual price from the prodip site ($12.50) and state YMMV price beat down to $9.96 by Lowe's (so people know the actual price prodip has it for)

edited: lowe's do offer 10% off competition's price

Price match for retail stores plus an additional 10%

We guarantee our everyday competitive prices. If you find an identical item currently offered for less at a local competitor's store or website (including shipping, handling and fees, if applicable), we will match their price and beat it by 10%.

It's a decent price in Canada...but if you live close to the boarder it's $6USD in the states (Home Depot USA, Lowe's USA, etc)

i would guess tremclad (rust proof) is better.

I wanted to spray paint my 2000 BMW rims to red colour.

How much should I buy?

Plasti-Dip can just be peeled off if you change your mind. Good luck getting tremclad or other standard spray paint off afterwards.

One 11 oz can per rim, about 5-6 coats is more than enough.
