Protect privacy before phone repair

I am going to give my S7 to an authorized repair shop to replace the battery. My friend had the same repair done and the shop insisted that the phone should be without a password since they needed to test the functionality.

What steps should I take to keep my privacy?

I'm thinking I should:
-remove SIM
-create a full backup and delete everything

Anything else?

Thanks in advance!

That should be enough. Also if you have any SD cards, remove them.
