Protecting Mattress?
Hi there,
How can I protect my newly bought memory foam mattress from stains? I don't think putting couple of bedsheets would help. =(
Where and what can I find?
Thanks in advance!!

Buy a mattress cover. I got a queen size one from US Wally's for ~$30. It protects the mattress from stains and dustmites, etc. Also makes sure your inspector can't complain about any stains if you need warranty work.

I just bought a kingsize mattress protector from Walmart for $50. Make sure to get the waterproof one. It has a plastic liner.
I also saw one at Ikea for about $50 as well but the one at walmart was better quality.

Are they uncomfortable to sleep on? Specially if it is plastic? Wouldn't it make sound when you sit on it?

Ah.. I didn't know. Picked up a mattress protector from Home Outfitters for 59.99+Tax. Went to Wallmart last night as well, and they were selling mattress protectors for 22.99+tax!! I put both on, and even though there was a quality difference, I tested a spill on Wallmart one. Works perfectly!! So going to return the home outfitter protector.
Thank you to all who helped!

Buy a mattress Pad. Make sure the mattress pad is leakproof as the others have mentioned. Also, be prepared to have some mattress stain removal around.
