so i'm finally getting serious about my health....and my body performance...haha
i bought a soy derivative because teh other brands have a lotta milk products in them..but thats beside the point
the specs claim it has more protein per serving...and I take it like 2 tims a day...
and my work out schedule is like 3-4 days a week now...
but i doubt ther are ne disadvantages to this one.

Sep 30th, 2004 01:24 PM #94I haven't heard of the estrogen thing, but I agree if you're a guy you probably want to stick with whey or a good egg protein powder. I haven't read of too many bodybuilders or other athletes taking soy powder, but if you have a problem digesting whey or egg powder than soy is a good alternative.

Oh, and another thing. When you're taking a lot of protein, your farts REALLY smell!

I just recently bought 3 x 5lbs tubs (choco, vanilla & strawberry) of Optimum Nutrition Whey at Popeyes @ Yonge & Bloor. It was $44.99 each in store but if you buy online @ www.supplementscanada.com, it's only $42.99.
Very good service as I received free shaker cups, free creatine samples, free water on the way out and $6 in coupons for my next purchase ..

My local Health store (Health Service Centre, 5 locations in Toronto) gave me some samples of ISOWhey Breezers (Interactive Nutrition),
http://www.interactivenutrition.com/...heybreezer.php
I tried the Mango-Peach and Citrus Burst...DELICIOUS!! Definitely lighter in texture and more 'thirst-quenching' than your typical 'creamy' mixes. I just might pick up a tub so I can alternate with my other whey powder (Nature's Best ISO-Pro) since chocolate everyday is getting boring. To bad it's priced a bit on the high side, $44 for 2 lbs., http://www.sndcanada.com/gc/gc_item....teractive&Z9=0
Maybe an unflavoured powder with Crystal Light would be just as good...?_______________

Oct 19th, 2004 11:06 AM #102I'm also getting a little bored with chocolate. Mango-peach?!?! That's awesome! Too bad it's so expensive.

I ended up buying 2 lbs. of the Citrus Breezer. I figured, I can easily spend $50+ in a few hours over dinner and drinks...so $44 for something that would last me at least a few weeks isn't so bad
