Well after seeing more videos of it, I don't think it's a useless feature, but it actually seems like more of a marketing tool than anything else since it lets you see how others have rated their games. It's not really meant for you to go snooping around for another Vita user (as it doesn't show a map, just a radar type screen) but it's a location based social network that you can see who's playing what in your vicinity and give you options to interact with them. You can challenge them to a multiplayer match or send them something like a Modnation map. But yeah, it does require a wifi or 3G connection.

I would get the 3g version I have a wifi tablet and I have to admit it sucks always looking for wifi plus my phone 3g is not supported on rogers
but for a psp I dont think its needed

Playing games on iPhone is ******** to be honest.
Take Grand Theft Auto for instance, you use the touch screen to navigate, but your finger literally covers 2/4 of the screen, which makes it unbearable to play during gun fight or car chase.
The only game I find that is enjoyable on iPhone would definitely be Angry Birds and Plants vs Zombies.
