I completely agree. I have no idea why anyone would even want the 3g version.

Well, it's only $50 bucks more, and you get with it peace of mind that it's the most fully featured version. It's also the most future proof in case Kojima or some other brilliant producer does something crazy that incorporates Near, or any functionality that requires 3G.

I don't think the PS Store is open yet for current vita owners (correct me if im wrong) but it should be on the launch date of the first edition bundle. Should be.

I can confirm that the Playstation Store on the PS VITA is up and running! Both games and movies section are available.

Only a limited amount of games though. I think 6 or something (all first party titles)...

I saw Uncharted Golden Abyss for $44.99 and Super Stardust Delta for 9.99.

I'm just going to tether to my phone. I think if you already have a data plan with a phone there is no point to getting the 3g version. And I figure if you don't have a data plan on your phone, you won't spend the cash to get one for the vita.

Yes your PSP games will work on the Vita but PS1 games will not.

Lol you need at least 10+ qualifiers. Cost you $25? I guess if you put it that way it isn't bad. The only concern is the games. Can't really trade for those now.

Was able to do a T2 for Uncharted since it's a $50 game. I'm sure stores like Best Buy will have trade-in promos for the other games. The other games don't really interest me anyways

Not to ruin the excitement already, but can you guys seriously vouch for the $249/$299 price tag being worth it for the VITA? I mean it's probably going to be a bias response but I'm asking anyway.
