PS3 to Monitor help?
So I just got a Dell monitor, and I tried to connect my PS3 to it, doesn't look too easy.
I used and HDMI/DVI-D adaptor, plugged that into the monitor, then plugged the HDMI cable in the monitor and the PS3. And both power cords are plugged in, and I'm cycling through the options, from D-Sub, to DVI-D, to S-Video, and I'm having a rough time. Advice anyone?
Much help would be appreciated!Last edited by IronMan08; Sep 9th, 2008 at 04:13 PM.

Plug your PS3 into your monitor via the HDMI-to-DVI cable.
Switch the monitor on, and set it to DVI input.
Turn your PS3 on by holding the power button on the console itself for five seconds, until you hear a second beep. This should reset your video and audio outputs to the default settings - which, over HDMI, should autosense a support resolution.
If not, you'll need to dig out your composite/svideo cables, and configure it that way first._______________
