Sony must have heard about the massive revenue generated by Steam games on sale and finally put 2 + 2 together. It's about time they started offering incentives to buy from PSN.

I don't think you can do that on PSN, but assuming amazon.com matches the sale price (it's still $14.99 at the moment) you could purchase the code there and then send the code to your friend.

I bought it on the 360 (I forgot to mention) that I don't play any more.
So this time around I'll pick it up for my PS3, and I doubt it expires. It'll only "expire" if you lose your PSN info and accidentally delete it. lol
