I want one too but carrying something so beautiful and expensive in public is practically asking for some thug to push you into an alleyway.

PSP cdn pricing
the suggested pricing for it once it's released in canada is approx. $325 - $350
not bad ... but i won't buy one personally until version 2 or 3 as the japanese versions had some video and lcd problems.
definately NOT worth the asking price of $500 - $700 at pacific mall.
one store has them, but you have to ask quietly ... but then get a huge slap in the face when they tell you their asking price and then try and say they had to have it region unlocked when that's BS as they come directly from sony region free for the game side of it anyway. and they couldn't prove that the media side was actually region free as there was nothing for them to load or play on it.
i told the store clerk that it's not worth the asking price since they can't prove the media side is actually region free .... and that it's factory set at region free so if they in fact asked someone to unlock them all for them that they were ripped off.
another shop closer to the front entrance of PM says they will hav ethem ordered in on a " per order " basis and you have to give them a $300 deposit. they didn't have any on hand or could prove that they could actually get any, and when asked about the problems they are having with the LCD and flickering during game play i was told that it was a small batch and would not be any of the ones they are getting. i don't see how they can promise that as sony can't even say which batch was effected and it's on a reporting system right now. so if you pay $300 deposit and then the final $350 upon acceptance of the PSP only to find out you have a bad one ..... you are S.O.L.
it's always nice to be the " first one " to have the next cool thing. but with things that have to be imported and on top of that being an electronic gadget, it's better to wait till it comes out domestically as that gives them time to work out the major bugs and also gives you a warranty to have it sent back in as the ones that are being imported will NOT be accepted by sony as they are being sold outside the japanese region and therefore breaks their warranty policy.
