Yes, if they activate online.

For yourself, this deal is much better. For your family member, the Walmart/London drugs promo is better for them ie. free SIM, $25 credit + regular $10 friend credit. Your family member will only get $25 - $10 cost of SIM with this deal.

It would be smokin' hot if referer gets the $25 referral credit, referee gets the $25 credit, and referee get the $25 Walmart sign-up bonus.

It would be, but that won't work, $25 referral bonus is for online activation only. (Not sure if you were thinking it would work, or if you're just saying "hey wouldn't this be amazing!")

Just saying it would be hot, that's all.

I signed up for two $10 plans yesterday at Walmart. The sales girl let me enter all of the information into the PM computer system myself. She was happy to let me do the data entry while she stood nearby to chat with her friend. She didn't even look at the screen to see what I was entering. I called her over when everything was confirmed and the account creation was complete.

The Walmart data entry screens looked identical to the Public online self-activation screens I have used in the past.

Yeah I noticed that when I was there a couple weeks ago - exactly the same activation form you see if you do it yourself at home. I'm guessing they just log in through a retailer portal/account so that PM can log it for their commission?

I would assume so; otherwise, PM would have no way of knowing who activated the sim.

I actually have an unactivated PM sim at home. I bought it while I was a PM customer in case I lose or damage my sim.

I'm 99% sure you can't use a SIM card again like that. But I guess you could always try to activate it and see what happens?

It is time to get my Speakout friends to switch to Public Mobile $10/50/50 plan.

$10($8 with autopay) 50 CW minutes + 50 outgoing text + free incoming text
This plan is good for seniors using a flip phone.
PM 16 cents/minute vs SO 30 cents/minute

PM $8 for 200 add-on minutes and can be roll over to next 30 days until all addon minutes are used up
PM 4 cents/minute Vs SO 30 cents/minutes

Why are you still paying 30 cents/minute at SO? I switched. I like the loyalty $1 off per year with PM for a maximum of $5 off. After 5 years, my $8 plan becomes $3 plan with 50 CW minutes. Take a closer look at PM.
Have too many phones... This is how I limit my monthly phone payment.
Public Mobile $34 15GB, $11 250MB, 2x $5 50min/50text, $0 FPL home phone,
Fido $5 4GB plan with a free tablet.

i think a 2nd walmart account is better then this deal? open 2nd wally account, get 37$ credits in that account (11.30$ oop cost) , 1st wally account gets another 1$ off monthly bill as a referer)

unless u have have or get a free sim card to start this thread OP offer, its better? ymmv

I think for most people it's better. One way the $25 referral bonus is slightly better is if you're referring someone in your household and it doesn't matter who pays what, it's all coming out of the same account. Then, the referral bonus would net your household $42 ($25 + $25 + $2 autopay - $10 SIM), so you'd be up $5 (same $11.30 oop cost).
