Looking to open 2 lines for parents and maybe jump on this deal myself too. Would it be better to set up 3 lines on the same (my) account or separate them? Which gives the max discount? Or not possible to group them?
Each line has to have separate account/email address. Not possible to group them together. To maximize discount, activate 1st line with a friend referral. Then use your 1st line to active 2nd +/- 3rd line. First line with get $50 credit, 2nd line $25 (for 2 lines).

Troy_McClure, you can also distribute your referrals between lines 1 and 2 as you see fit. Another option from giving the first line both referrals would be to give one referral to line 1 and another to line 2. That could be good if you are having different people pay for each line (especially if they are for your kids and they pay themselves) to be fair to each person.

You can't have multiple lines, it's always one line per account. Each account needs its own email address.
If you're planning on managing all 3 accounts anyway and use Gmail, the dot or plus trick is handy.

Best way to do things discount-wise is to open one line, then open 2 more using the first line's temporary number for referral purposes.

You need different email for each phone number in order to earn referral bonus.

If you're switching your plan to this one, all your existing rewards will carry on, e.g. loyalty and referral.
If you don't already, make sure you have autopay enabled for the extra 500 MB.

Do you need more data? If you are running out of data during your 90 days I guess it makes sense
Public Mobile Fall Promo
Koodo $35/5GB and $40/6GB
Shaw 600 + Basic Cable w/ 5 Theme Packs, Home Phone + 1 Year Netflix Credit ($162) + $250 Bill Credit = $87/24 months

No actually. It has the Canada wide calling which my current plan doesn't have.

Yeah if you need that calling plan it makes sense. I still have 107 of my 200 minutes from 2.5 years ago lol. Don't do a lot of long distance calling

Would you be coming from the Fall Promo plan? If so, there is also a difference in speed. When playing movies and tv shows, buffering takes longer to ensure continuous playback (depends on how site does it), but things are usually fine once playback starts. I find Youtube almost instant on a "3g" plan, likely because those videos files are usually shorter in duratuon/smaller in size. For larger video files, we're talk about going from virtually instant feedback to maybe 3 to 5 seconds before it starts playing.

You'd have to get quite a few referrals for free service on Public's higher priced plans.

No limit, but once a plan is free if you get to that point, they're not going to send you a cheque for anything extra in your account balance.
