I don’t have account number or PIN??

From my understanding, you can contact fongo to get your account number. By opening a support ticket.

Don't need PIN, IME. Just need account number, phone number and account holder name. Fongo ports do take longer - up to several days. MIght want to get a temporary public mobile number first and then port the fongo number over.

I joined PM from Fongo last Thursday. When I typed in my fongo to port it did not ask for my account number. I guess it is b/c it is considered a wired line. The number fully ported this morning. Hence taking two full business days..

Hey!
Been overseas a long time and admittedly a bit out of the loop...
I currently have Koodo with a 6GB data/m (plus unlimited calls and texts across Canada) for just under $50/m - I like it and its coverage in remote locations.
[I work often in remote locations, e.g. northern BC and AB as well as overseas as an ACP (Paramedic).]
Is PM a company that just purchases data tower access across various carriers?
Is its coverage good or poor as a result?
Any feedback on its service? Thanks in advance!

Public mobile and koodo both use Telus/bell towers. You will not see any difference in signal between the two

If you have any troubles porting, contacting a mod on the PM forums helps a lot. Mine was stuck (could do everything except receive calls) but after speaking to a mod via private messages, it was all resolved in less than hour! Very impressed.

The reception should be same as Telus/Bell.

The general opinion from the more experienced users of Public Mobile is NOT to use this service for an important work mobile line. If your service goes down for any reason, it can take 1-3 days to get your service back since there is no call centre for immediate assistance. All assistance is via private messaging which takes time to communicate.
