Really depends on how much data you will use. 1 GB for $30 data add on is expensive, even though unused portion rolls over. If the 1GB data add on last more than 6 months, then keep your $10 plan. If not, might need to consider this $15 plan.
Data rolls over on PM or just the 1gb plan?

The data from the add-on rolls over. Your monthly data allowance does not.

Data does not roll over with the regular data plans, including this one.

Unused Data rolls over only on the extra Data add on, 1 GB for $30. 200 mb for $15.

It depends on Chatr and Lucky are offering in the future. This plan is offered because of the competition.
:) OK, I do not see the 'minimal' plans getting more expensive, so it is most probly gonna stay. Thanks!

Late summer?!? Geeesh.

Alright, so it looks like you're probably not a current Public Mobile customer, so activate a line for the $10 plan to get the $25 referral, with autopay. That will get the plan cost down to $8/month. In the meantime, schedule a plan change to this special offer plan to occur on your next renewal date. Each month, before your renewal date AND before the plan is changed, cancel the plan change so your $10 plan is renewed. After your $10 plan renews for another 30 days, schedule the plan change. Do that until late summer OR the special plan is no longer offered. As long as you schedule the plan change while the offer is available, the price will be locked in.

Good luck!
Heh. Very ingenious. I did not even think about such tricky strategy. And I'm current PM customer, so will figure out something alongside your lines ! Thank you!

I would not be surprised if this plan becomes one of the regular low "use" plans like the $10 plan. CRTC mandated cheaper plans for the future.....

Pretty sure the last batch of low-price plans that the CRTC mandated were a joke.

This plan is nice.
Just buy $15 minute add-on, and we are all set.

I am going to switch my parents to this plan instead of the $25 plan because they are super light data users that barely breaks 100 MB a month.

I really wish this plan had unlimited incoming calling :(

I'm going to have to upgrade to the $23 plan for that reason only - the $15 Chatr deal might be better for me since data isn't important, but I like my PM account.

Why not pay 10 more dollars and get unlimited calling and 1gb of data? And if she has wifi where she is most of the time she can use calling and texting apps for free?

Then the Chatr people complain about the 40c per minute to use voicemail which effectively means the plan doesn't come with free voicemail. If you need more minutes, it only costs 4c each and they don't expire.

Thank you, Folks. With original credits going to @will888 of course, this is the best of RFD, is not it? :)

N.B. I'm keeping a membership at PM at all times. Advantages could not be overestimated :)
