I have the consumer preview installed on a virtual machine right now and so far I can't stand using metro on the desktop. It's even worse than Ubuntu's move to unity for me. I have to say that although it isn't for me, it would be great for people who aren't very PC savvy and use their PCs mostly for content consumption but as a productivity desktop yuck.
I'm still going to buy the $40 upgrade because I can't afford to ignore it as a developer, but I also expect a pretty quick turnaround for SP1 that will probably include some metro banishing features.Last edited by BinaryJay; Aug 31st, 2012 at 08:26 AM.
