Purchasing Used Rogers Digital Set-top Box?
Hi everyone, my sis saw this CraigsList ad where a guy is selling a Rogers box. Are there any pros or cons she should be aware of? Thanks.

Call Rogers first and make sure the box does not have any liens on it.

yes
- it should be an authorized box
- there shouldn't be any bills owing on the account, otherwise Rogers wouldn't activate for you

Ok, that's great advice, guys! Thanks!

Ok, I talked with two Rogers reps today and, wouldn't you know it, got two different stories.
First rep said the same as everyone else, get the serial number to make sure there's no problem about the account.
Fine, the seller sent those over.
Second rep, said that he can't look up the serial numbers nor can he tell me anything else about the seller's account. And, the only issue I have to beware of is whether or not it's a rental box. I would have to depend on the seller for that info. Sheesh!
So, I emailed the seller to make sure that there's a receipt.
