I just get up when the alarm goes off (if i'm not already up)... I would guess any one that could benifit from this, would kill it within a few days..

Pure genius

I've always wanted something like this...
I've tried putting my alarm clock as far as possible from my bed, so it forces me to get up to turn it off...
Also seems when I get a new alarm clock, for the first 1-2 weeks it'll wake me up, but then I sort of get "immune" to the alarm and am able to sleep through it.
In 1st year of college, me and my roomie shared a room, funniest thing would be both our alarms going off at full blast and we'd both be sleeping through it
Not really a problem for me now though since I wake up whenever I want. Haven't used an alarm clock for awhile now

Apr 9th, 2005 06:14 PM #3I have a problem waking up sometimes. I can literally sleep for hours, just snoozing or turning off the alarm clock.

Apr 9th, 2005 06:27 PM #7Hehe yea, I read it again and realized the wording may have been off. Although I did try the sleeping thing Kramer went on, sleep 20 mins every 4 hours hehe...did it for about 36-48 hours then stopped, it was too tough to stay on. But towards the end, it was working perfectly, I would lay down for a nap and instantly be in REM state, and 20 mins later I'd wake up. The last time, I woke up literally seconds before my alarm was set to go off. And those lucid dreams were incredible!

Wow, that's awesome! I definitely don't need such a thing (I'm a light sleeper) but it should be really useful. Hope they come out with a nicer looking one (rubber instead of fur?) with full features like call display, telephone, etc.

Im pretty good at waking up myself...
I remember back in the days of highschool I would use an alarm clock for the first week of school set at 7:30am.
A week later I wouldnt need the alarm clock anymore. I would wake up @7:30 on the dot myself._______________

"the university is helping her sort out intellectual property issues on the runaway clock."
A friendly way of saying they want a cut of whatever she does with it. Even though it seems like her idea.

I use a two alarm system. One in the bedroom with time for 2 snoozes set. One in the living room with the 'must wake up time'. By the time I get all the way up to go shut that one off, I'm usuallly good to go.
