I'm sooo pissed off with Purolator. Their driver will not ring the doorbell when leaving a delivery that does not require a signature.

Fedex rings the doorbell. Canada Post rings and always requires a signature. UPS rings the doorbell and often requires a signature (now - I have had issues in the past with them not doing so).

Today, for at least the 3rd time this calendar year, their driver dropped off and left. The doorbell, with a clear "Ring Doorbell" sign 2 feet above the box, was untouched. An Amazon box with $300 of goods in it that is the size of a regular sized Coleman cooler was left sitting at the door. I was in my basement office which has a remote ringer in it and my wife was watching from a 2nd floor window.

I complained after the last shipment and had an acknowledgement.

I think B&H is going to get more of my business in the future and where possible with Amazon, I may gladly pay for a different freight service just so that Purolator does not get the business.

I refuse to believe that Purolator drivers are stupid so I have to assume Purolator has a policy where they advise their drivers not to knock or ring the doorbell. Or could it be, Purolator drivers have this thing going where a "friend" drives by 20 minutes later and scoops the box. Naw!!! that would never happen. Angry Face Angry Face

.
Amazon does not require a signature for orders below $~1300. If your package gets stolen, it is Amazon's responsibility and they will refund/resend your order.

While I appreciate that, it does nothing to satisfy me. Ring the bell to prevent theft and the inherent delays and aggravation of dealing with the process. It is a customer service issue, an expected common courtesy. What frustrates me as well, if I select the local drop-off depot instead of home delivery, it no longer qualifies for free shipping.

I don't know how I've been on RedFlagDeals for 12 year and didn't know this thread existed. But let me just say - Purolator is, in fact, the worst shipping company ever. They lie, they are rude, they don't ring bells, they don't leave notices, they have inconvenient pickup locations and more. With Canada Post, UPS or FedEx I can easily grab the package from local convenient locations, so I don't care if I miss it. But with Purolator if you miss a package (and you will, because as mentioned, they often don't ring bells or even attempt to deliver - they just lie about trying) then god help you. Sorry if this offends anyone who works for Purolator but it's my experience dealing with Purolator over the years. Garbage crap awful dump of a company.

This is ridiculous, aside from all the horror stories here their customer support is absolutely useless. I didn't realize they're this bad now.

I ordered a TV from B&H. They ship it via purolator. Tracking says it'll be delivered on Monday and monday morning it shows that it's on vehicle for delivery. Great. I stay home and wait for the package.

5PM rolls around, package still hasn't been delivered. I contact purolator support.

Purolator: Oh don't worry packages are delivered between 10AM and 8PM

7PM rolls around, tracking suddenly shows that the package is "delayed due to missed delivery" and now will be delivered on Tuesday instead. I contact purolator support again.

Purolator: Oh our driver had to return to the depot before he could make the delivery. It'll definitely be delivered tomorrow.

1 day wasted

Tuesday morning. Tracking still says it'll be delivered today but at 8AM still doesn't say it's out for delivery. I contact purolator support again because I don't learn.

Purolator: Oh our system actually doesn't update before 10AM.

Uh huh, it updated yesterday at 7AM but whatever. I stay home anyways. 10AM rolls around and the tracking doesn't update. I contact purolator support for the 4th time. At this point I just want to see how many layers of runaround they have prepared.

Purolator: Uhhh i have no clue. I am creating case for a "trace specialist". You will be contacted with any updates.

wat.

3 hours later I get an e-mail from the trace specialist. "Hello we're starting an investigation and we need the description of the shipment"

WHAT

It's a 49 inch TV. You had it at one point. Now you have no clue where it is.

2 days wasted

Purolator, as a courier company, there are literally only TWO things I'm paying you for.

1) Deliver a package
2) Know where the package is at all times so I know when it's getting delivered.

If this doesn't get resolved tomorrow I will be doing a chargeback on the TV and just getting a friend to order it for me with a courier that actually does its job. I'll let you explain to the vendor why you're wasting their time and money.

Hi FlyingSquirrel,

I’m sorry to hear about delay on your TV. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience. Would it be possible to email your tracking number to customer.care@purolator.com? We’ll verify where we are at on the delivery.

I purchased two items one of each from different retailer but sadly the both use purolator. Both items were supposed to be delivered yesterday but then they both got "transit delayed - awaiting connection" and they are at different transfer terminal. Can I just go and pick it up from the transfer terminal myself because one if the terminal is just a couple of blocks away from my house. The last time this happened it took over a week for it to be delivered. I'm just wondering if you guys have enough employees or are they just slackers?

I have sent an email to the address you provided based on my own issues with having something delayed due to a missed connection for two straight days

Not sure about Purolator being the worst. Yesterday I check tracking on a shipment from NCIX through UPS. Said my shipment was on the truck on its way to me. I then get a call telling me I can come and pick it up 35 kms from where I live or they'd send it out the next day. I look at the site and it says its being held for future date. I call UPS. they promise its on the truck today, yet the tracking still says "future date". Not happy, two days of rescheduling my time and I'm betting it won't show today. What if I refuse it at this point?

I work as CSR for a company, its policy we can't really do much other than use a premade template within the software that is used to connect Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.

If we can help we'd ask you to PM us, if you don't then there is no further action that will be taken.
