Q about tax for photographs/services

I'm just curious, as to what you're supposed to charge when doing photography. Do you collect both taxes for digital copies? What about the hourly rate? Is it GST for hourly rate only? As you can tell, I'm completely new to this aspect of the game. Thanks for all advice/info!

I am not a pro but just got into the "game". I just charge a sitting fee and people can either buy prints at a moderate fee. I sometimes also opt to have a larger sitting fee and just hand over several finished digital files. If I charge enough for the sitting fee I am happy already and the customer is happy being able to print the photos she wishes.
