QST Refund in Ontario

Hi there,

I have a small business in Ontario with an HST number and sometimes we purchase things on the Quebec side and are charged QST, my question is how to get these amounts paid in QST refunded as we do not have a QST number. If anyone has any information on this it would be greatly appreciated. I've been doing my research and haven't found anything to answer my question. Any help would be amazing.

Thanks!

Cant claim qst unless u are qst registered.

Also..u should look up "place of supply" rules from cra. Generally, if the supplies you purchased or services you received were received in Ontario..you should not have been charged qst to begin with and should only be subject to hst. If the vendor u are purchasing from isnt hst registered, they can simply charge u gst and nothing more since they are registered for federal (5%) and their provincial portion (9.975%)
