I liked it.
We will try that next time. Going to Peking Duck Kitchen tomorrow.

Which location did you like?

I've tried at both locations and had terrible service at the Gibson Dr. spot (won't get into the details, but it was language related).
Not much better experience at the location off Highway 7 (very long wait times and messed our orders on serveral occasions); but the overall service was much better.

I don't give much credibility to Blogto. When have they ever been really critical of any place. They're more advertorial than anything.
The "review" was written by a marketing guy.
Also, most of the BlogTO staff don't know anything about authentic Asian food. They get hyped over Hong Kong egg waffles which have been here for decades. It's all sponsored after all.

I don't trust Google reviews, Yelp, or BlogTO.

those duck slices look like they have too much meat. Its mostly meat. I like mine mostly, if not all, skin, with some fat.

Was browsing reviews on Yelp and saw a consumer alert posted on QJD Yelp page 🤣

Soooo over priced. Went during xmas break for brother in-law birthday, ridiculous prices. Don't even know why people pay these prices.

As I've mentioned before, it's a tourist trap.
I don't doubt that maybe there's better duck meat at the Dragon Pearl AYCE restaurant.

Oh yeah totally. I didn't even want to go and when I saw all the decor and the whole "Chinese" history crap it was so obviously a tourist trap. SIGH

In order for it to be a tourist trap you'd have to market to non-Chinese. This place is geared more to stupid rich mainlanders. What's with all the chinese "chains" that are opening
here? And yet they're not in Vancouver which I argue has more affluent chinese.
