Question about remote starter
Is that possible for a person to remote start his own car accidentally without knowing it? Does the remote control has some safe guard? Some funny key sequence?
The reason I ask is I saw a car with its light on when I walked out to the gym.
One hour later, when I came back, the light was (and is) still on and I heard the engine noise. I went back to check the car and there was no key inside.
I suspect the car owner accidentally started his car without knowing it. As far as I know, the car is still running. I can see it through my window.

Certainly possible. I just have to hold single button down for about a second to start it. Of course, it beeps when you've held it long enough, and then again when the engine actually starts. So you'd know it started unless you were deaf/in a loud environment.
I actually started mine accidently just the other day. As I was bending down to tie my shoes, it pushed the button up against my wallet and started the engine. Fortunately, I was just about to leave for work.
