Question about renting a house/room

Since most people always starting their renting period from the first day of month, can it be like 9th of the month? or something else ?

as a renter, I try to aim for a couple days after the start of the month... as a landlord, I try to aim for a couple days before.

Although yes, you can ask for any day you want.... might have a negotiate for it though.
